Non-alcoholic Drinks: Fruit Juices and Nectars

Summary

The Fruit Juices and Fruit Nectars (England) Regulations 2013 give effect to an earlier EU directive and sets out the rules governing fruit juices and nectars as they apply in England. Similar provisions exist in relation to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. These rules define terms such as ‘fruit juice’, ‘fruit juice from concentrate, ‘concentrated fruit juice’ and ‘fruit nectar’ and retain earlier on the addition of sugar, acidifying agents and ascorbic acid.
